The sixth annual Great Jewish Family Festival celebrates Jewish identity, promotes community friendship, warmth and unity in Metro-Detroit, and welcomes people of all ages, religions and backgrounds.

The festival is in honor of the Jewish Holiday Lag B’omer which celebrates the anniversary of the passing of the great sage and mystic Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, author of the Zohar. It also commemorates the disciples of the great sage Rabbi Akiva and his message of brotherly love. More info about Lag B'omer here.
